On Labor Day (a holiday that celebrates American workers), a BBC article stated that 40% of Americans choose not to take vacation days to which they’re entitled. Many workers fear they will lose their jobs if they take time off. Some save them to use as sick days. Others blame the American culture of hard work and long hours, or not having someone to cover their responsibilities while away. And if they do take a vacation, they feel like they have to work twice as much to catch up when they get back.
That article’s title, “America’s national vacation problem,” couldn’t be further from the truth for some consultants. Being in between projects can mean traveling, recharging and reconnecting with family and friends. Take a look at these stunning photos that several of EM Marketing’s consultants took from their amazing summer trips. Perhaps you’ll be inspired to celebrate the work you’ve done and plan your next, much-needed vacation?
