Modern Midlife Group
Longevity experts estimate that most who live past 50, will live closer to 95 years. For most of us, this leaves many, many more productive, healthy years to write our next chapters.
What is it
Modern Midlife Group is a supportive community for like-minded professionals in the SF Bay Area navigating shifts in both life and work. Many of our members, in their 40s, 50s and 60s, are transitioning their roles in both their careers and parenting, often without a clear roadmap. While past generations may have embraced retirement, we believe our members still have many vibrant, productive years to contribute.
Our approach is high-touch and human-first, focused on helping one another create exciting, new paths for the future. It is our goal that through Community, Connection, and Consistency our members will strive in Midlife.
Who is in this Group & What’s In It for Me?
Ken Chen, the founder of EM Marketing, started the group in early 2024 after landing in Midlife himself, and craving Community. The Community has 30+ members today, and have had 2 successful cohort groups. Those group members have experienced:
- Better definition of purpose & mission
- Setting goals, action plans, and accountability (with an Accountability Partner)
- Learning & support during the Midlife Transition & beyond
- Community and a network of like-minded people
What Does the Group Do?
Here’s a list of regular Community activities:
- Monthly Meetings – Member updates, small group time, accountability partners, and content/learning topics
- Inspiration & Accountability – Stay motivated with exercises and reading. We’ll pair you with an Accountability Partner for ongoing support and encouragement
- Weekly Work & Collaboration Space – most Tuesdays and Thursdays reserve office space to work at Open Canopy
New members are encouraged to join Monthly Meetings with a new cohort Group (currently accepting members for Group #3). The first Monthly Meeting is Friday, September 12th from 1-3pm. If you are interested in joining, schedule a meeting with Ken.
