Event Marketing Manager
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Event Marketing Manager to lead and optimize our executive event strategy, with a primary focus on CIO-focused events and relationship-building opportunities.
This role is ideal for someone who understands how to strategically evaluate, plan, and execute high-value industry events — not just coordinate logistics. The right person will help determine which events are worth attending, manage event planning and execution, and ensure events align with business development and brand goals.
The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities:
- Own the strategy and execution for approximately one CIO-focused event per month (typically 50–100 attendees)
- Research, source, and evaluate relevant industry conferences, executive gatherings, dinners, and networking opportunities
- Recommend which events are the best fit based on audience, ROI potential, business objectives, and target customer alignment
- Manage event planning logistics including timelines, vendors, registration, sponsorship coordination, and attendee experience
- Build and maintain an organized event calendar and planning process
- Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders on goals, messaging, attendee targeting, and follow-up activities
- Help establish a more strategic and scalable approach to event marketing and participation
- Track event performance, learnings, and recommendations for future participation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of event marketing, field marketing, or experiential marketing experience
- Experience supporting B2B, enterprise, or technology organizations preferred
- Strong understanding of executive-level events and relationship-driven marketing
- Proven ability to independently manage events from strategy through execution
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
- Comfortable making recommendations and operating with limited structure
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
