Fractional Product Marketer
Role Overview:
AllSides seeks a Fractional Product Marketer to bring their Roundtables research offering to market. Roundtables uses structured small-group dialogue and analysis to uncover qualitative insights at scale. The initial buyers are research organizations, independent consultants, and partners serving corporate clients.
Working closely with the CEO and Head of Partnerships, you will turn existing thinking and evidence into clear positioning, messaging, sales materials, and an actionable plan for a January B2B launch. This role combines B2B commercial experience with creative, customer-focused category development. The initial engagement focuses on product marketing and launch readiness; broader outbound execution may follow once needs are defined.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership to organize existing thinking into a clear product marketing framework, identify decisions still needed, and move the work forward.
- Prioritize research use cases and define target customers, economic buyers, champions, users, and participants, including research firms and consultants that can bring Roundtables to their clients.
- Develop positioning, value propositions, and audience-specific messaging that explain the methodology, its strongest applications, and its differentiation from focus groups, surveys, and other alternatives.
- Build on existing competitive analysis, packaging, service-level, and pricing work; clarify the roles of software, research, services, and partners in the offer.
- Map the customer journey from initial interest through delivery and reporting, identifying the information and proof buyers need at each stage.
- Translate the American Dream research report and other approved evidence into case studies, proof points, a product demo narrative, sales presentations, and one-sheets.
- Create a concise, actionable go-to-market plan that prioritizes near-term and later tactics across partner channels, thought leadership, research credibility, and targeted outreach.
- Prepare launch messaging and sales enablement for the planned January B2B launch, coordinating with the internal marketing team and designer on collateral and identifying any additional support needed.
- Equip the Head of Partnerships and CEO to present and sell the offering consistently; define practical milestones and measures of progress, and refine the plan using buyer and partner feedback.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated product marketing experience translating complex or emerging offerings into clear positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
- B2B experience reaching corporate buyers and working with partner or channel sales models; experience with research organizations, insights services, or research technology is a plus.
- Experience introducing a new product, category, or market approach, with strong customer empathy, creative judgment, and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Strong skills in customer definition, competitive analysis, value propositions, sales storytelling, and communicating the value of qualitative insights.
- Ability to move between strategy and hands-on writing and execution, producing concise, useful materials and driving decisions in an evolving environment.
- Comfort collaborating closely with a founder and a small cross-functional team, incorporating direct feedback while contributing an independent point of view.
- Interest in AllSides’ mission and openness to different political perspectives, thinking styles, and communication styles.
Company profile:
AllSides helps people better understand the world and one another through balanced news, media bias analysis, and dialogue. Its Roundtables offering extends that mission into B2B research, helping organizations understand audiences and stakeholders. The team values intellectual curiosity, constructive disagreement, and diverse perspectives.
