Paid Campaign Management
Role Overview:
Join is looking for a hands-on paid media specialist to establish, manage, and optimize a focused paid acquisition program. The immediate priority is to audit and improve the company’s existing Google Search campaigns, validate end-to-end conversion tracking, and create a reliable foundation for measuring performance from ad click through lead capture in HubSpot.
With an initial media budget of approximately $5,000 per month beginning in August, this individual will help Join determine how to allocate spend across core Google Search activity and controlled tests on LinkedIn, and explore Reddit, display, and emerging AI advertising platforms where appropriate. Because the company has limited historical campaign data, the specialist must be comfortable using disciplined experimentation to identify where Join can gain traction without spreading the budget too thin.
The engagement will require more intensive audit, setup, and troubleshooting work at the outset, followed by an ongoing cadence of campaign management, optimization, reporting, and strategic recommendations. The specialist will report directly to Join’s Head of Growth Growth, and collaborate with RevOps and internal creative resources. Join will support creative production, but the specialist should be able to evaluate performance and recommend new concepts, formats, or refreshes when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Audit the existing Google Ads account, including campaign structure, targeting, keywords, negative keywords, bidding, budgets, landing-page alignment, and conversion setup
- Diagnose and correct tracking, attribution, and measurement issues that may be limiting visibility into lead generation and campaign performance
- Partner with Join’s RevOps resource to connect advertising platforms, Google Analytics, HubSpot campaigns, workflows, and lead-source reporting
- Develop a phased paid media testing plan that balances investment in core channels with controlled experimentation across LinkedIn, Reddit, display, and other relevant platforms
- Recommend an appropriate allocation of the available media budget based on channel potential, performance data, and the need to generate actionable learning
- Set up, launch, and manage campaigns, including audiences, targeting, keywords, bids, budgets, placements, and platform-level configurations
- Monitor campaign performance and make ongoing optimizations to improve efficiency, engagement, conversion volume, and lead quality
- Build clear dashboards or reporting views that allow stakeholders to monitor campaign performance and insights in near real time
- Provide a regular reporting and optimization cadence, including recommendations for budget shifts, channel expansion, campaign pauses, and next tests
- Assess the performance of ad creative and messaging and advise when new concepts, formats, or creative refreshes are needed
- Document campaign structure, tracking setup, tests, findings, and recommendations so the program can scale over time
Qualifications:
Required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing paid digital campaigns across Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
- Strong working knowledge of paid search fundamentals, including keyword strategy, campaign structure, bidding, negative keywords, landing-page alignment, and conversion optimization
- Experience auditing and repairing conversion tracking, attribution, and analytics implementations
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and HubSpot, including the ability to coordinate effectively with RevOps on campaign, workflow, and lead-tracking requirements
- Experience planning and managing multi-channel campaign tests with relatively modest budgets
- Ability to translate limited or incomplete historical data into a disciplined testing roadmap and clear learning agenda
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn performance data into practical budget, targeting, channel, and creative recommendations
- Experience building campaign dashboards and communicating results clearly to non-specialist stakeholders
- Highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning both technical setup and ongoing execution
- Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a lean, fast-moving environment
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Reddit Ads, display advertising, or emerging AI advertising platforms
- Experience supporting B2B technology, SaaS, construction technology, or other complex enterprise sales motions
- Experience evaluating paid creative performance and translating findings into actionable creative briefs or recommendations
