Reigniting Growth in 2026
In 2025, widespread layoffs, cautious hiring budgets, and rapid AI adoption created uncertainty for companies and candidates alike. At EM Marketing, we felt those headwinds. But we’re doubling down on what differentiates us – our investment in relationships, our adaptability, and our commitment to showing up for clients and consultants in meaningful ways.
What We’ve Built and Why It Still Matters
No matter how much AI makes work more efficient, connecting companies with great marketing talent is fundamentally human. It’s emotional and trust-based. That’s why we carefully vet every marketer we place for experience level, cultural fit, and skillset – and why our personalized approach consistently helps clients achieve their marketing goals.
Building and nurturing our community of marketing professionals has always been part of the EM story. In today’s remote or hybrid work environments, it’s harder than ever to connect with people face-to-face. We create real opportunities to network and learn from each other’s expertise and experience. We also believe in mentoring the next generation, pairing early-career talent with seasoned mentors and opening doors to opportunities with EM clients.
This community-first approach traces back to EM’s founder, Ken Chen, who built a legacy around the “Reference Hire” model. It’s rooted in curation, curiosity, and connectivity. We build relationships with great marketers, who become EM clients and consultants over the years. That approach has created something rare: a lifecycle where consultants refer other consultants, clients expand their engagements organically, and introductions happen because people genuinely believe in the quality of the work and the people behind it.
Our Strategic Focus
This year, we’re sharpening our approach around three core priorities:
- Proactive new account sales. We’re not waiting for inbound leads. We’re getting back to the fundamentals of outreach, relationship building, and demonstrating value early and often. Connect with us.
- New services piloted through partnerships. We’re exploring a few strategic bets where our talent bench gives us an unfair advantage – things like AI-enabled research, brand refinement work, and AI engineering. We’re rolling out these offerings with trusted partners and proven experts already in our network.
- Thoughtful adoption of AI across talent, offerings, and operations. AI isn’t a strategy on its own. But used well, it can help us move faster, serve clients better, and free up our team to focus on the high-judgment work that actually moves the needle.
Playing the Long Game

We’re not chasing every trend or trying to out-scale the competition. We’re committed to what we do best – matching exceptional marketing talent with companies who need them, staying curious about how the market is evolving, and showing up for our clients and consultants with the same care and rigor we always have.
2026 isn’t about reinvention. It’s about doing what we’ve always done – with renewed clarity, discipline, and ambition.
Here’s to reigniting growth together.
