Daniel Gehant: Helping Clients Shine Online
March 2019 Consultant of the Month
When you hire Daniel Gehant, you can expect solid expertise and true professionalism. As a digital marketing consultant, he helps businesses find their authentic voices and shine online. Daniel genuinely cares about his clients. So you’ll also get the heart and positive attitude that makes working with him so enjoyable.
Currently, Daniel consults with Neustar’s website management and editorial teams on SEO. After conducting an in-depth audit of what was working and not working for each of their distinct business units, he continues to advise them on website strategy and development. In addition, he dives into the details (read: H1 tags and meta descriptions!) to ensure Neustar’s content incorporates targeted keywords and creates a diverse digital footprint for customers to find them.
When immersed in SEO, one can become mired in analytics and tedium. But Daniel gets it and can handle it. On every level, he truly enjoys educating clients so they can understand complexities and how the web works. Ultimately, providing tools and a better grasp of SEO helps clients be more effective and efficient in their marketing.
Journey through Digital Marketing
Much like the way he has helped businesses navigate the web, he himself has taken a journey through many facets in the digital space. Each opportunity contributed to the deep knowledge he has today.
Starting at an affiliate and search engine marketing firm, Daniel worked on the publisher side. There, a light bulb clicked on. He became fascinated with how to create a website, how it works with search engines, and how people connect through these technologies. At QuinStreet, Daniel soaked in lead generation, online customer acquisition strategies, website development, and marketing compliance. Lastly, he worked in a trust and safety role at Upwork, a platform for freelancers and clients. Perhaps discovering the world of solopreneurs and small agencies played a small part in his transition to consulting.
Daniel’s varied, technical experience combined with the trustworthy and can-do qualities he exudes make him a special kind of consultant. These are the pros EM Marketing is known for, and Daniel is grateful to be part of its community.
Global Adventures and New Perspectives
Daniel approaches work with the same enthusiasm as he lives his personal life. In the past, he and his wife did a stint as English teachers in France, where they had an “absurd” amount of vacation time. From their home base, they traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Egypt and Jordan, to name a few. Amongst EM Marketing consultants, he takes home the Most Countries Traveled award (count ’em: 57 — he’s actually lost track!). Now with young children, traveling comes full circle. This year, his family is planning an epic ski trip to Zermatt in the Swiss Alps.
You might say this extensive traveling changes perspectives. In Daniel’s case, it’s true. What a local may see as “normal,” he may see differently. In the details, Daniel thrives. With his clients’ business goals in mind, he gets fully immersed, rolls up his sleeves, and helps them connect with the right audience in a meaningful way.
