Lori Reddy: Project Precision, People Person

Organized, buttoned-up, capable, collegial… with fantastic outcomes. These are words people use to describe Lori Reddy, a veteran marketing consultant (23 years and counting!) who thrives when handling complex projects and the nitty-gritty.

Lori is currently contracting with Sumo Logic in their field marketing group, executing multiple events. As a consultant, she is flexible and ready to take on whatever comes her way. Truly a team player, she pitches in, whether it’s meticulously planning a big event or simply entering leads into Salesforce. Even if it’s not in her job description, she wants to help out.

Success: It’s All in the Preparation

Many marketing managers do not enjoy the sea of details that come with event planning. But Lori loves this aspect. It goes back to when she was a television news producer early in her career. She enjoyed the prep work, the day of filming, and seeing all the hard work put into action. Lori says, “People asked me, ‘Why are you so calm? This is our big day.’ And I would say, ‘Because it’s all in the preparation.'” In the same way, event management plays to her organizational strengths.

Transitioning from writing, directing and producing in TV, Lori has found her journalism and management skills serve her well in marketing and project management. In addition to Sumo Logic, she has worked in a variety of roles for smaller tech companies. Her positive attitude and spirit go a long way when she needs to wrangle people and assemble pieces of a complicated project together. This “get-stuff-done” approach is why Lori and other EM Marketing consultants shine.

Balance, Gratitude and Focus

Lori considers herself lucky that her consulting career has been as much fun as it has been consistent. With EM Marketing as a partner, she has been able to balance meaningful work and her family. Having a senior and junior in high school plus one child in middle school, Lori understands that this time in her life is fleeting. She fully appreciates every moment she spends with them. Lori’s drive, endless energy, and focus enable her to tackle any challenges at work and bring high-quality results for her clients.
