We’re excited to share an important leadership update at EM Marketing.
After a thoughtful and intentional transition process, Charlie Mock has been named our new Chief Executive Officer.
Many of you already know Charlie – and that’s exactly why we’re so energized about this next chapter. Charlie has worked closely with EM Marketing for nearly a decade, partnering with clients, mentoring team members, and helping shape the strategies that drive results. He understands our business deeply, knows our clients well, and brings a steady, growth-focused leadership style that reflects the values EM Marketing was built on. He believes in the power of relationships, and is a low-ego, high-integrity person, with a wicked sense of humor.
In addition to his long-standing involvement with EM, Charlie brings proven leadership experience across multiple dimensions – as an entrepreneur who co-founded two companies and as an executive leading business, product, and growth initiatives. At EM he’s been a Senior Consultant & Account Lead at PayPal, LinkedIn, Blendtec, Dropbox, Toast, and MetLife. He combines strong marketing expertise with a sales-oriented, relationship-first mindset – always focused on turning strategy into measurable impact.
As CEO, Charlie is keen on building on EM Marketing’s strengths, deepening client partnerships, and accelerating growth – while maintaining the collaborative, hands-on approach you expect from our team. Over the coming months, he’ll be working closely with our clients and internal teams to refine the vision and ensure EM continues to deliver exceptional results.

Charlie has officially stepped into the CEO role on January 1, 2026. We asked him to say a few words:
For the past 10 years, I’ve seen the incredible impact EM Marketing has created for businesses – from the individual expert boosting a startup to an experienced team elevating the marketing programs of a large organization.

About Ken Chen
Ken Chen is an experienced Marketer and Entrepreneur. He founded EM Marketing, one of the biggest marketing communities in the San Francisco Bay Area. Ken developed a reputation for helping many transition into a better work-life balance with more flexibility and freedom. He gradually transitioned out of EM Marketing, and is now tackling midlife with newfound energy and wisdom. He wants to help others make another difficult work-life transition.
